Kari Schmidt is a licensed professional counselor, in the State of Michigan (LPC) as well as a Board Certified Counselor (NCC). She obtained a Masters degree from Central Michigan University in 2013.
Kari is currently certified in the following:
Certified Family Trauma Professional (CFTP)
Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional
Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider
She completed level 1 - IFS (Internal Family Systems) training, 80 hour, at The Center for Self Leadership in November 2019. Kari participates in ongoing IFS consultation with an IFS instructor as well as peer review.
She completed a face-to-face, 40 hour, Somatic and Attachment Focused (S.A.F.E.) EMDR basic training in February 2018.
She has experience in working with at-risk youth, adults, and families in juvenile justice, medical, non profit, crisis shelter, as well as in a private practice setting.
