Kari Schmidt is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the State of Michigan as well as a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor (NCC). She obtained a master's degree from Central Michigan University in 2013.
Kari is a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP).
Kari completed an 80-hour, Level 1 - IFS (Internal Family Systems) training, through The Center for Self-Leadership in November 2019. Kari participates in IFS consultation with an IFS instructor as well as peer review. Most recently Kari traveled to Bali to attend an IFS Somatic Part Work Retreat, in 2023.
Kari completed a face-to-face, 40-hour, Somatic and Attachment Focused (S.A.F.E.) EMDR basic training in February 2018.
Kari possesses extensive experience in providing support to adolescents and adults in various settings, such as medical facilities, non-profit organizations, and private therapy practice. Her background also includes working with placed at-risk youth and their families in a juvenile justice and crisis housing settings.
